Peranakan Museum







 Nonya kebaya , this is what Peranakan lady wear , it will fastened by brooches and worn with a sarong (skirtcloth), the kebaya is the garment most associated with the Peranakan community


 This beaded slippers are sew by Peranakan women , usually the groom family will judge them by the skill of their sewing of beaded slippers and their cooking skill 




 Pagoda Trays are unique pieces made specially for  a Peranakan family in Singapore . They were  used to bear gifts in a wedding procession where gifts were exchanged between familes of the bride and groom 


This is the dowry gift that the groom will prepare for the bride
